The Story

SPECIFICATIONS:

Structure 
  • High-purity alumina fiber insulation provides a better energy efficiency. 
  • Double-layer structure with a cooling fan to keep furnace exteriors safe to touch. 
  • One venting port is built on the top of the furnace
  • One air inlet is located at the back of the furnace.
  • This furnace can be put into a standard glovebox
Power
  • Choice of the working voltage
    • 110-120 VAC, single phase, 50/60 Hz, 20 A, 1.8 KVA
    • 208 -240VAC, single phase, 50/60 Hz, 15 A, 2.5 KVA
  • A power cable is included, but without a plug. 
Operating Temp Range
  • 100-1200°C continuously
Control accuracy at 1000 °C
  • +/- 1.0 °C
Max. Heating Rate
  • 30°C/ min.
Thermocouple
  • K types with a standard plug: 4" Length, 3mm OD.
Temperature Controller
  • The digital temperature controller is included.
  • Proportional–integral–derivative control (PID control) and auto-tune function
  • 30 segments programmed with ramping, cooling, and dwelling steps
  • Built-in over-temperature alarm and thermocouple failure alarm
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature control accuracy
  • Default DB9 PC communication port
Temperature controller (optional)
 
  • MTS01 Temperature control software kit (for YD518P series controllers) + 15" laptop package is available at the options bar.
  • Eurotherm temperature controller with +/- 0.1 °C accuracy is available at the extra cost
Compliance
  • CE Certified
  • NRTL (UL61010) or CSA certification is available upon request at extra cost.
Application Notes
  • For a longer service life, we recommend a heating/cooling rate of less than or equal to 10 °C /min.
  • Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over time. This is a normal occurrence, and the cracks may be repaired with the alumina patch 
  • The heating module is easy to replace. Click the pic left to order a spare Heating module for replacement
  • If firing material releases vapor or smoke, please put the furnace into a fume hood
Note
  • Toxic, corrosive, or explosive gases are not allowed for use with this furnace. 
  • If you need to open a hole in the top of the furnace ( Pic. 2), please let us know.
  • The furnace can be modified into a hybrid tube furnace (Pic. 3)
