The Story

MSK-CE-R2R is a corona (air plasma) treatment machine integrated with an automatic Roll to Roll system. It is mainly used to pre-process various cast film substrates on a roll-to-roll (R2R). The corona treatment section uses a ceramic roller for the discharge electrodes. This device uses high-frequency and high-voltage electric power to generate corona discharge, which is low-temperature plasma, capable of processing conductive materials such as copper foil and others. The plasma cleaning improves the polarization of the surface of the conductive foil. The roll-to-roll unit allows the substrate to be cleaned continuously. Such a technique can improve the substrate adhesion as well as the coating quality. It is widely used for materials modification, grafting, casting coating, ink printing, etc.

Safety Measures

  • Built-in overload limits for the input voltage, short circuit or open circuit on output, ground, etc.
  • Security alarm in case an accident/error occurs.
  • Equipped with a 100 mm diameter vent port, it can be connected to the pipeline and eliminate any generated ozone gas during operation.
  • Must wear dielectric gloves, which is included during operation

Roll-to-roll system

 

  • 8" width roll-to-roll system and coating system is included, which can improve the adhesion of the substrate's surface and improve the coating quality. Please click the picture left to see the detailed specification

Gas Pressure Requirement 

  • A 0.4 - 0.6 Mpa of air force is required to raise the gap of the cleaner.
  • Air compressors and fittings are not included. Please click here to order or order from your local hardware store. Gas/Air tube size is 6.
