The Story

OTF-1700X-VT is a splittable 3 zones vertical tube furnace suitable for sample heating or quenching under vacuum or flowing gas conditions up to 1700°C. Single crystal growth and heat treatment system can be set up with a quenching system, lifting mechanism, or other motion mechanisms.

  • High-purity aluminum fiber insulation material is more energy efficient. 
  • Double layer shell with air cooling system. 
  • Stainless steel vacuum sealing flange with valve and meter is included
  • B-type double platinum-rhodium thermocouple
  • The thermal blocks are included. 
  • Tube size: 60 O.D x 54 I.D x 1000 mm L
  • Heating-Zones length: 200mm + 200mm + 200mm 
  • Uniform temperature Zone:   450 mm +/- 3oC

  • PID automatic control with 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time.
  • Built-in overheating & broken thermocouple protection.
  • Over-temperature protection and alarm allow for operation without attendant(s).
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.
  • Two S-type thermocouples (one for each zone).
  • DB9 Communications Port.
  • Optional:  
    • The furnace may be operated by a PC by installing a control module. Please order an MTS-02 control module at extra cost. 
    • If you order the PC control module and the furnace, we will install and test it before shipping. We recommend you order a computer laptop from us to avoid software installation problems. For more information please click here.
