The Story

  • VDE-HT1000 is an extrusion pressing machine with a variable-diameter die from 10 mm to 7 mm, capable of both cold and hot extrusion, with a maximum force of 100 metric tons and a temperature of 400 °C. This machine is designed for thermo-electric material based on a reference article: Development of a solid-state multi-stage thermoelectric cooler

SPECIFICATIONS: 

 

Hydraulic Press driven by an electric motor

  • Applied force range:  5 - 100 metric Tons adjustable with digital display
  • Hydraulic cylinder diameter:   100 mm diameter
  • Travel distance of cylinder: 108 mm
  • Working space of the press:  300 mm width x 850 mm height
  • Rated power:  1500W
  • Voltage“  220VAC+/-10% , 50/60 Hz, single phase

 

Extraction Mold

  • Extrusion mold materials:  Mold core made of hardened mold steel, outer casing made of stainless steel.
  • Mold dimension: OD 175mm * height 160mm
  • Iner extrusion mold size:  OD 50 x height 160 mm
  • Standard extrusion die with variable diameter: from D10 mm to D7 mm x  L 25 mm
  • Customized die is available upon request

 

Heating Option

  • The extrusion mold is heatable up to 400 °C, either by resistance jacket or induction heating as an option
  • Note: Resistance heating is slow, but lower cost, and induction heating is faster, but higher cost.
  • The digital temperature controller is programmable with +/- 1 °C accuracy
  • A vacuum chamber is optional for air-sensitive material at an extra cost

Control Unit

  • The control box is separate from the extrusion press
  • A touch screen panel set up diesired extrusion pressure and temperature

  • CE certified
  • NRTL certification is available upon request at an extra cost
  • One year limited warranty with lifetime tech support
