The Story

KSL-1500X-VT is a compact 3-in-1 hybrid furnace up to 1500 °C, which can be used as muffle furnace, vertical tube furnace, and SOFC coin cell testing.

SPECIFICATIONS

Furnace
  • 120x120x120 mm  ( 4.7”x 4.7“ x 4.7") heating chamber with SiC heating elements
  • Max. 1500 °C working temperature 
  • Two 1" holes are opened on the bottom and top of the heating chamber to insert an alumina tube for processing a sample in a controlled atmosphere or testing the coin cell of SOFC

Power 
  •  Single Phase, 220V AC, 50/60 Hz
  • Max. 2.5 KW

  • Heating Rate:  10 oC / min Max.
  • Uniform temperatre Zone:   50x50x50 mm within +/- 5%

Temperature Control
  • 30-segment programmable temperature controller
  • S-type thermal couple 
  • Built-in over-temperature alarm and thermocouple failure alarm
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature control accuracy
  • DB9 PC communication port is installed for the optional PC and the software

Processing Tube
  • Tube Size: ID: 19 mm; OD: 25 mm x Length  760 mm
  • 99.5 % high purity Al2O3 Ceramic.
  • Two fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included for blocking heat radiation from the inside tube. (Ceramic blocks must be fully inserted into the furnace chamber before heating)          

Vacuum Sealing Flanges
  • One pair of sealing flanges with a double silicone high-temperature O-ring is included.
  • Two SS needle valves and one dial vacuum gauge are installed with the flange for immediate use..

Vacuum Level
  • Limited by the vacuum pump
    • 50 m-torr can be achieved by the mechanical pump
    • 10^-5 torr can be reached by the molecular pump
     
  • The vacuum pump is not included; please order it separately by clicking the pictures

Fuel cell testing fixture (optional)
  • Coin-type fuel cell ( 20 mm) testing fixture is optional, which includes   20 mm alumina tube, 14 mm quartz tube, a pair of flanges with gas inlet and outlet, a spring load, Pt wire and mess as well as high temperature adhesive for immediate use. Click the picture here to see the details
