The Story

GSL-1500X-120 is a bench-top 110mm ID. tube furnace with SiC Heating Elements. A pair of vacuum sealing assemblies is installed to achieve a 10-6 torr vacuum. It is controlled by a 30-segment programmable digital controller with an accuracy of +/-1 oC. This tube furnace has a max. working temperature up to 1500ºC.

Sealing Flanges
  • One pair of sealing flanges with double silicone high-temperature O-rings is included
  • Right side: KF 25 vacuum port
  • Leftside: 1/4" NPS fitting
  • Two SS needle valves and one dial vacuum gauge are installed on flanges for immediate use
Vacuum Level
  • Limited by the vacuum pump
    • 50 more can be achieved by the mechanical pump
    • 10^-5 torr can be reached by a molecular pump

Power Plug & Cable
  • 10 feet long 10-3 AWG heavy duty UL approved power cable is included. An extra length cable can be ordered by clicking the picture below-left

  • A manual push rod for moving the crucible to the hot zone under a high vacuum is available upon request 
  • The touch screen control panel is available at an extra cost, which can integrate temperature control and vacuum control into one interface, and record the processing profiles

Application Notes
  • In order to obtain accurate temperature inside the tube furnace, you need to perform a temperature calibration before use, please click here to learn how.
  •  Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1500°C
  • The tube furnaces with alumina tube are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 MPa (absolute pressure)
  • Attention: it is necessary to install the gas pressure regulator to reduce the output pressure 3 PSI, avoid overpressurizing the furnace chamber, and ensure safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 ml/min) for reducing thermal shocks to the tube
  • Two fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included for blocking heat radiation from inside the tube (Ceramic blocks must be fully inserted into the furnace chamber before heating).
