The Story

SPECIFICATIONS:

Structure
  • High purity alumina fiber insulation surrounding the chamber provides maximum energy efficiency. 
  • Heavy-duty double-layer structure with a cooling fan to keep furnace exteriors safe to touch. 
  • Double-layer steel case with forced-air cooling to ensure lower safer face temperature.
  • One venting port is built on the top of the furnace
  • One air inlet is located at the back of the furnace.
  • A separate programmable digital temperature controller for using the furnace inside the glove box or a remote location
    • Cable Length; ~3 meters
  • Ar gas is compatible when used in a glove box
Power 2.5KW (not suitable for running at 110V)

  • FA-YD518P-AG temperature controller is included.
  • Proportional–integral–derivative control (PID control) and auto-tune function
  • 30 segments programmed with ramping, cooling and dwelling steps
  • Built-in over-temperature alarm and thermocouple failure alarm
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature control accuracy
  • Default DB9 PC communication port
  • Note: you may use the multi-channel controller to control multi-furnace as an optional
Laptop, software (Optional)
  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2013 (30 days free trial).
  • Labview Based Temperature Control System (MTS01)enables the user to edit temperature profiles, manage heat-treatment recipes, and record and plot data for MTI furnaces.
  • A wireless remote control provides up to 300 meters of operating range.
Temperature controller (optional)
  • MTS02-Y Temperature control software kit (for YD518P series controllers) + 15" laptop package is available at the options bar. Click for detailed information about the MTS02-Y software kit. 
Compliance
  • CE Certified
  •  NRTL (UL61010) or CSA certification is available at extra cost.
Application Notes
  • For longer furnace service life, we recommend the heating rate not to exceed 10 °C /min.
  • The cooling rate should not exceed 10 °C /min either.
  • Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with the alumina coating 
  • The heating module is easy to replace. Click the pic left to order the spare Heating module for replacement
  • If firing material release vapor or smoking, please put the furnace into a fume hood as the left picture. 
  • Toxic, corrosive, or explosive gases are not allowed to use with this furnace without the necessary safety controls or supervision.
