The Story

KSL-1200X-M-HP is a hot press sintering laminating furnace that provides precise pneumatic constant pressure control up to a maximum pressure of 4KN up to 1200°C. It can be used in the sintering of SOFC electrode sheets at high temperatures to limit the gap defects caused by thermal expansion, as well as in wafer sintering and welding, and sintering of ceramics and metals with high density. The furnace is built with a dual-slidable heating chamber to make sample placement at easy.

  • The heating furnace adopts a double sliding door mode, which is convenient for sample loading

  • Continuous working temperature: 1100ºC ( Max. 1200°C for one hour )
  • Heating rate: ≤10°C/min

  • Sic plate is placed on the bottom to support pressure

Temperature Uniformity
  • +/- 5°C @ 1000°C in the center 350 x 350 x 350mm area

Pressure 
  • One gas cylinder is stalled on the top of the furnace to apply pressure to the sample via the alumina rod
  • Pressure rod: 99% Alumina, 60mm diameter 
  • One pressure sensor is installed between the pushing rod and the cylinder, which needs water cooling
  • Cylinder stroke: 300 mm
  • Max force : 4KN (400KG)
  • Optional:
    • You may need a ceramic die to press a disk-like sample
    • You may need dual SiC sheets to press a sheet-like sample
    • One Air Compressor ( > 120 PSI ) is required to connect with the cylinder to apply pressure ( click the picture below to order )
    • One recirculating water chiller is required to cool the pressure sensor. (Click the picture below left to order )

  • One touch screen PC is included for operation of the temperature and pressure
  • Remote control via ethernet cable
