The Story

MSK-HRP-05 is a 200 mm width Heated Rolling Press with Max. 10 mm rolling gap and Max. 250 working temperature, which is designed for preparing the polymer composite materials. (Gap is increased to 10 mm since Jan 15, 2022)

  • High strength hardening steel with hardness with RC > 52 
  • The Roller surface is plated by Cr for anti-corrosive
  • Size: 96 mm Dia. x 220mm W

Roller Gap
  • 0~ 10 mm adjustable
  • Note The gap tolerance may vary with temperature raising as below
    • RT - 100°C: 0.008 - 0.01 mm
    • 100 - 150°C: 0.02 - 0.03 mm
    • 150 - 250°C: 0.03 - 0.05 mm

Heating Temperature
  • Two digital temperature controllers with 30 segments programmable for control two rollers separately
  • 250°C maximum ( <= 1 hrs suggested)
  • Recommended Heating Rate: 1.3°C/minute
  • Two heating elements are installed
  • Power of each Heating Element: 1000W
  • Temperature Control Accuracy: +/-5°C
  • Two spare heating rods are included for replacement. Pls click pic left to see specs.

Power
  • AC 208 - 240V, single phase, 50/60Hz, 2.5 kW
  • 10-ft power cord without a plug. 
  • A 3kW transformer is available for use under 120V, 30A. 

Motor
  • High torque motor with reducing gear, which can run under Ar gas safely
  • Rated power 100W
  • Digital speed Display: 0~26 mm/s
  • Digital controlled with constant output power

  • We can modify the rolling press into a vertical position at the extra cost

  • MET certificate is available upon request at extra cost
Warnings
  • Do not touch the surface of the rolling part of the machine when the rollers are heated up or running.
  • Due to the influence of working environments, the temperature on the roller surface may be different from the display on the controller. You may calibrate the temperature by TC-calibrator-LD, and refer to the instruction here from time to time to ensure heating temperature accuracy
  • Multi-step thickness calendaring needed: While calendaring the sample sheet, make each calendaring decrement of 0.02mm compared with the sheet's original thickness.
  • Never calendaring decrement over 0.02mm compared with original sheet thickness each calendaring.
  • Never roll materials with hardness > 40HRC
  • Clean roller surface after each use and lubricate rollers when not used to avoid corrosion
  • It is not allowed to use any MTI product in Class I environments (flammable gasses & vapor).
